A LOVE LETTER TO PAPI
His ice cream route became a family legacy.
Chef Mike Lopez, owner of Helados Papi, built the shop as a tribute to his Puerto Rican father and the ice cream route that helped him provide for his family.
Papi would return from his route and share what remained with the neighborhood kids. Today, that same spirit lives on in Ridgewood: family, community, and something sweet to bring people together.
